Andrew Becherer has joined Sublime as our CISO

I’m thrilled to announce that Andrew Becherer has joined Sublime as our Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), bringing with him over two decades of experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure, and software assurance. Andrew’s leadership will be instrumental in further strengthening our security posture and building long-term trust with our users and customers.
A hands-on technical leader with a career foundation in advanced security research and offensive testing, Andrew's early work involved probing the defenses of some of the world's most critical and widely deployed systems. At iSEC Partners, he worked on the largest global cloud platforms and the most pervasive software update infrastructures in use today.
In 2015 he was the first security hire at Datadog, where he built and scaled the security organization. As Chief Security Officer (CSO), he led Datadog’s security program through hypergrowth and its IPO. The organization Andrew created established a resilient foundation of trust for one of the Internet’s most relied upon platforms. Building on this experience he took the role of CISO at Iterable. Andrew shaped security strategy for a global multichannel messaging platform, safeguarding the data and trust of many of today's most influential consumer brands.
Most recently, Andrew co-founded Staris AI, where he worked to reinvent application security for an AI-driven future. His experience at Staris deepened his understanding of the complex intersection between artificial intelligence, software development, and risk. He continues to advise multiple cybersecurity startups and remains an active voice in the industry.
A speaker at leading security conferences, including Black Hat and RSA, Andrew is known for blending technical rigor with clear strategic vision. Based in the Pacific Northwest, Andrew sees his role at Sublime as the culmination of a career devoted to protecting people, data, and systems in a rapidly evolving digital world.

Josh started working for the DoD in high school and spent 10 years engaged in various offensive cyber initiatives and red teaming in the private sector. Phishing was always the fastest way for him to gain access to a network. He started Sublime to build a product that would stop him. Josh holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland. He lives in Washington, D.C. and enjoys weight lifting and spending time with family.
